حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُنَيْدِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حِينَ اسْتَفْتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ أُذُنَيْهِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Jaʿfar b. Sunayd b. Dāwud al-Miṣṣīṣī from my father
  2. Ḥajjāj b. Muḥammad
  3. Yūnus b. Abū Isḥāq from his father
  4. ʿAbd al-Jabbār b. Wāʾil from his father

✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ, when he began the prayer, raising his hands to just below his ears.
