حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ الرِّحَابِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْبَحْرَانِيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ زِيَادٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيَرْضَاهُ وَيُعِينُ عَلَيْهِ مَا لَا يُعِينُ عَلَى الْعُنْفِ فَإِذَا رَكِبْتُمْ هَذِهِ الدَّوَابَّ الْعُجْمَ فَأَنْزِلُوهَا مَنَازِلَهَا فَإِنْ أَجْدَبَتِ الْأَرْضُ فَانْجُوا عَلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ الْأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ مَا لَا تُطْوَى بِالنَّهَارِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّعْرِيسَ بِالطَّرِيقِ فَإِنَّهُ طَرِيقُ الدَّوَابِّ وَمَأْوَى الْحَيَّاتِ

✧ On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, “Indeed God, exalted is He, is gentle and loves gentleness, and is pleased with it, and assists with it what He does not assist with harshness. So when you ride these dumb beasts, alight them at their resting places. If the land becomes barren, travel swiftly upon them, for the land is folded by night what it is not folded by day. Beware of camping in the middle of the road, for it is the path of the beasts and the refuge of snakes.”
