حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ مَرِضَ فَأَتَاهُ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ
لَهُ مَعْقِلٌ لَأُحَدِّثَنَّكَ بِحَدِيثٍ لَمْ أُحَدِّثْكَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ اسْتَرْعَاهُ اللهُ رَعِيَّةً فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ غَاشٌّ لَهَا إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ»

✧ He has a place of refuge. I shall surely narrate to you a hadith that I have not narrated to you: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “There is no servant whom Allah has placed in charge of a flock and who dies while being dishonest to it, except that Allah has forbidden Paradise to him.”
