حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِيمَا يَرَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الرُّطَبِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَالْعِنَبِ بِالزَّبِيبِ وَرَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا وَالْعَرَايَا يَجِيءُ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ إِلَى ابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ أَوْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ فَيَأْمُرُ لَهُ بِالنَّخْلَةِ أَوِ النَّخْلَتَيْنِ وَلَمْ تَبْلُغْ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الْخُرُوجَ فَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَبِيعَهَا بِالتَّمْرِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fresh dates for dry dates, and grapes for raisins, but allowed 'araya. And 'araya is when a Bedouin comes to a cousin of his or a man of his household, and he orders for him one or two palm trees that have not ripened, and he wants to go out, so there is no harm in selling them for dry dates.
