حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا نَأْتِي مِنْ عَوْرَاتِنَا مِمَّا نَذَرُ؟ فَقَالَ «احْفَظْ عَلَيْكَ عَوْرَتَكَ إِلَّا مِنْ زَوْجَتِكَ وَمِمَّا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ» قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ بَعْضًا فِي بَعْضٍ؟ قَالَ «إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لَا يَرَى عَوْرَتَكَ أَحَدٌ فَافْعَلْ» فَقَالُوا إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُنَا خَالِيًا وَحْدَهُ؟ قَالَ «وَاللهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُسْتَحْيَى مِنْهُ» وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ
Translation

✧ I said: O Messenger of Allah, what parts of our private areas may we expose and what may we leave? He said: “Guard your private area except from your wife and those whom your right hand possesses.” He said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, what if we are among one another? He said: “If you can ensure that no one sees your private area, then do so.” They said: What if one of us is alone by himself? He said: “Allah is more deserving that one be shy before Him.” And he placed his hand over his private area.
