حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْإِيَادِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ خِرْ لِي فَنَحَا بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الشَّامِ فَقَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ مَحْشُورُونَ رِجَالًا وَرُكْبَانًا وَتُجَرُّونَ عَلَى وُجُوهِكُمْ مُفْدَمَةٌ أَفْوَاهُكُمْ بِالْفِدَامِ وَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يَبْدَأُ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ فَخِذُهُ»

✧ I said: O Messenger of Allah, choose for me. He gestured with his hand towards Syria and said: “O people, indeed you will be gathered on foot and riding, and you will be dragged on your faces, with your mouths muzzled with the fadam, and the first part of any of you to begin will be his thigh.”
