حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟ قَالَ «أُمَّكَ» قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ثُمَّ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟ قَالَ «أَبَاكَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ»

✧ I said: O Messenger of Allah, whom should I treat with the utmost devotion? He said: "Your mother" — he said it three times. I said: O Messenger of Allah, then whom should I treat with the utmost devotion? He said: "Your father." I said: O Messenger of Allah, then whom? He said: "Then the nearest relative, then the next nearest."
