حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِنَّا رِجَالٌ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ قَالَ «ذَاكَ شَيْءٌ تَجِدُونَهُ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ فَلَا يَضُرَّكُمْ» قَالَ قُلْتُ وَمِنَّا رِجَالٌ يَأْتُونَ الْكُهَّانَ قَالَ «لَا تَأْتُوهُمْ» قَالَ وَمِنَّا رِجَالٌ يَخُطُّونَ قَالَ «خَطَّ نَبِيٌّ فَمَنْ وَافَقَ عَلِمَهُ عَلِمَ»

✧ I said: O Messenger of God, among us are men who practice tiyara. He said: "That is something you find in your hearts, so it will not harm you." He said: I said: And among us are men who go to soothsayers. He said: "Do not go to them." He said: And among us are men who draw lines (in the sand). He said: "A prophet drew lines, so whoever's line coincides with his knowledge, he knows."
