حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا انْفَتَلَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

✧ I heard Mu'awiyah on the pulpit saying: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, he would say: 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and no one's wealth or fortune avails against You.'
