حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو؛ ثنا يُحْيِي بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوُحَاظِيُّ؛ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الطَّائِيُّ؛ ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ؛ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ فَإِنَّهُ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْبِرِّ وَهُمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ فَإِنَّهُ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْفُجُورِ وَهُمَا فِي النَّارِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Adhere to truthfulness, for it leads to righteousness, and both are in Paradise. Beware of lying, for it leads to wickedness, and both are in the Fire.”
