حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ يَقُولُ بِصَنْعَاءَ وَأَطْعَمَنِي مِنْ جَوْزَةٍ فِي دَارِهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُلْحِفُوا فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَوَاللهِ لَا يَسْأَلُنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا فَيُخْرِجُهُ لَهُ مِنِّي الْمَسْأَلَةُ فَأُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهُ وَأَنَا لَهُ كَارِهٌ فَيُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِي الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتُهُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Do not be importunate in asking; for by God, none of you asks me for something and the asking brings it out from me, and I give it to him while I am averse to it, and then he is blessed in what I gave him."
