حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ السَّدُوسِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ وَكَانَ مُعَاوِيَةُ خَالَهُ قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ فَأَبْصَرَ نَاسًا يُصَلُّونَ بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ قَدْ صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَا رَأَيْنَا أَحَدًا يُصَلِّيهَا»

✧ I was with Muʿāwiyah after the ʿaṣr prayer, and he saw people praying two rakʿahs after it. He said: “What is this prayer? We prayed with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and we did not see anyone praying it.”
