حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ نَجِيحٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ ثنا بِسْطَامُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

«كُنَّا مَعَ نَبِيِّنَا ﷺ فِتْيَانًا حَزَاوِرَةَ فَتَعَلَّمْنَا الْإِيمَانَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نَتَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ ثُمَّ تَعَلَّمْنَا الْقُرْآنَ فَنَزْدَادُ بِهِ إِيمَانًا فَإِنَّكُمُ الْيَوْمَ تَعَلَّمُونَ الْقُرْآنَ قَبْلَ الْإِيمَانِ»

✧ We were with our Prophet ﷺ as vigorous youths, and we learned faith before we learned the Quran, then we learned the Quran and increased thereby in faith. But today you learn the Quran before faith.
