حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ فِي هَيْئَةِ أَعْرَابِيٍّ فَقَالَ لَهُ «مَا لَكَ مِنْ مَالٍ؟» قَالَ مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَالِ قَدْ آتَانِي اللهُ قَالَ «فَإِنَّ اللهَ إِذَا أَنْعَمَ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ نِعْمَةً أَحَبَّ أَنْ تُرَى عَلَيْهِ»

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Messenger of God ﷺ saw him disheveled and dusty in the appearance of a Bedouin. He said to him, “What wealth do you have?” He said, “Of every kind of wealth God has given me.” He said, “When God bestows a blessing upon a servant, He loves that it be seen upon him.”
