حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ الْمَدَنِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْغَسِيلِ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ

أَنَّ النَّاسَ جَاؤُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لِحَفْرِ الْخَنْدَقِ يُبَايِعُونَهُ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ» لَا تُبَايِعُونَ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ إِنَّمَا يُهَاجِرُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْكُمْ مَنْ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ يُحِبُّهُ وَمَنْ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ يُبْغِضُ الْأَنْصَارَ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ يُبْغِضُهُ

✧ The people came to the Prophet ﷺ for the digging of the trench, pledging allegiance to him upon emigration. When he finished, he said: "O company of Ansar, do not pledge allegiance upon emigration. The people only emigrate to you. Whoever meets Allah while loving the Ansar, he meets Allah while Allah loves him. And whoever meets Allah while hating the Ansar, he meets Allah while Allah hates him."
