✧ Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us: Muhammad b. Salih al-Tammar narrated to us, from Yazid b. Zayd, from Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi, who said: "I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the grave of Hamza b. 'Abd al-Muttalib. They began to pull the striped cloak over his face, and his feet would become uncovered; and they pulled it over his feet, and his face would become uncovered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Place it over his face, and put some of this shrub over his feet.'" He said: "Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head and saw his companions weeping. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A time will come upon people when they go out to the countryside and find there food, clothing, and mounts—or he said: mounts—and they write to their families: Come to us, for you are in a land of passage and drought. But Madinah is better for them, if only they knew. No one patiently endures its hardship and severity except that I will be an intercessor and a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
