حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ لُبَيَّ بْنَ لَبَّا الْأَسَدِيَّ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَوْ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَبَقَ فَرَسٌ لَهُ فَجَلَّلَهُ بُرْدًا عَدَنِيًّا وَرَأَيْتُ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَ خَزٍّ أَوْ مُطْرَفًا

✧ I saw Lubayy b. Labba al-Asadi, and he was a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ or had met the Prophet ﷺ. A horse of his won, and he draped it with an Adeni striped cloak, and I saw on him a garment of silk or a fine cloak.
