حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ عُدُسٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِي اللهُ الْمَوْتَى؟ قَالَ «أَوَمَا مَرَرْتَ بِوَادِي قَوْمِكَ قَحْلًا ثُمَّ مَرَرْتَ بِهِ خَضْرَاءَ ثُمَّ مَرَرْتَ بِهِ قَحْلًا ثُمَّ مَرَرْتَ بِهِ خَضْرَاءَ؟ كَذَلِكَ يُحْيِي اللهُ الْمَوْتَى»

✧ I said: “O Messenger of God, how does God revive the dead?” He said: “Have you not passed by a valley of your people and found it barren, then passed by it and found it green, then passed by it and found it barren, then passed by it and found it green? Thus does God revive the dead.”
