حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْكِنْدِيُّ ثنا لَيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنِي طَلْحَةُ بْنُ مُصَرِّفٍ عَنْ أبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَضْمَضَ ثَلَاثًا وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا يَأْخُذُ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مَاءً جَدِيدًا وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا فَلَمَّا مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ قَالَ «هَكَذَا» وَأَوْمَأَ بِيَدِهِ مِنْ مُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ بِهِمَا إِلَى أَسْفَلِ عُنُقِهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ قَفَاهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and rinsed his mouth three times and sniffed water into his nose three times, taking fresh water for each one, and washed his face three times. When he wiped his head, he said, “Like this,” and he gestured with his hand from the front of his head until he reached the bottom of his neck from the back of it.
