حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أبِي الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى خَيْرِ أَخْلَاقِ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْأخرةِ؟ مَنْ وَصَلَ مَنْ قَطَعَهُ وَعَفَا عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَهُ وَأَعْطَى مَنْ حَرَمَهُ» قَالَ لُوَيْنُ يُقَالُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ يُكْنَى أَبَا الْحُسَيْنِ وَرَوَى أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Shall I not guide you to the best character of the people of this world and the Hereafter? Whoever maintains ties with the one who cuts him off, forgives the one who wrongs him, and gives to the one who deprives him.” Luwayn said: It is said—and Allah knows best—ʿAbd Allah b. Abi al-Husayn is given the kunya Abu al-Husayn. Abu al-Ahwas narrated from Abu Ishaq from ʿAbd Allah b. Abi al-Husayn who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he did not mention Kaʿb b. ʿUjrah.
