حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَارُودِيُّ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ عَقِيلٍ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي جَعْدَةَ عَنْ أبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَعَاذَكَ اللهُ مِنْ أُمَرَاءَ يَكُونُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي» قُلْتُ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ فَقَالَ «مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَلَنْ يَرِدَ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَذَلِكَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَسَيَرِدُ عَلَى حَوْضِي»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “May God protect you from rulers who will come after me.” I said, “And what is that?” He said: “Whoever enters upon them, confirms their lies, and helps them in their wrongdoing is not of me, and I am not of him, and he will never reach the watering place. But whoever does not enter upon them, does not confirm their lies, and does not help them in their wrongdoing—that one is of me and I am of him, and he will reach my watering place.”
