✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by him while he was at al-Hudaybiyyah, before entering Makkah, in a state of iḥrām, lighting a fire under a cooking pot of his, and lice were falling thickly onto his face. He said, "Do these vermin of yours trouble you?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then shave your head, and feed a faraq to six needy people—the faraq is three sāʿs—or fast three days, or offer a sacrificial animal." Ibn Abī Najīḥ said: Or slaughter a sheep.
