حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ثنا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ قَالَ

جَلَسَ إِلَيْنَا شَيْخٌ فِي دُكَّانِ أَيُّوبَ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةُ صُوفٍ فَسَمِعَ قَوْمًا يَتَحَدَّثُونَ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلَايَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَسَمِّهِ قَالَ قُرَّةُ بْنُ دَعْمُوصَ النُّمَيْرِيُّ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ النَّاسُ فَجَعَلْتُ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَدْنُوَ مِنْهُ فَلَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ فَنَادَيْتُهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اسْتَغْفِرْ لِلْغُلَامِ النُّمَيْرِيِّ قَالَ «غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكَ»

✧ A sheikh sat with us in the shop of Ayoub, may he be blessed with a woolen cloak. He heard some people talking and said to me, "My lord told me about the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ." I said, "Name him." He said, "Qurrah bin Damoosah Al-Numairi." He said, "I came to Al-Madinah and visited the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, and there were people with him. I tried to get closer to him, but I couldn't. So, I called out to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for the boy Al-Numairi.' He said, 'May Allah forgive you.'"
