حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْغَيْثِ بِشْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْقُمِّيُّ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ مِنْ لَخْمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحُرِّ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى الطَّبَّاعُ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ مِخْرَاقٍ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي لَأَذْبَحُ الشَّاةَ وَأَنَا أَرْحَمُهَا قَالَ «وَالشَّاةُ إِنْ رَحِمْتَهَا رَحِمَكَ اللهُ»

✧ I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I slaughter a sheep and I feel compassion for it.' He said, 'And the sheep—if you show compassion to it, Allah will show compassion to you.'
