حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ قُطْبَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ فَقَرَأَ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ {وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ} فَجَعَلْتُ أُرَدِّدُهَا وَلَا أَدْرِي مَا قَالَ

Translation

✧ I prayed the dawn prayer behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he recited Qaf. By the Glorious Quran until he reached: “And tall date-palms with ranged clusters.” (Qaf 50:10). I kept repeating it, not knowing what he said.
