حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ قُطْبَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى {وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ} فَقُلْتُ فِي نَفْسِي مَا يَسُوقُهَا؟

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ recite in the dawn prayer, “Qāf. By the glorious Quran” (Qāf 50:1). When he reached, “And tall palm trees with arranged fruit clusters” (Qāf 50:10), I said to myself, “What drives them?”
