حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَبْعَثُ فَرْوَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَخْرُصُ النَّخْلَ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ الْحَائِطَ حَسَبَ مَا فِيهِ مِنَ الأَفْنَاءِ ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بَعْضَهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ عَلَى مَا يَرَى فِيهَا وَلَا يُخْطِيءُ»

✧ "That the Prophet ﷺ used to send Farwa b. ʿAmr to estimate the palm trees. When he entered a garden, he would calculate what was in it from the branches, then strike some of them against others according to what he saw in them, and he would not err."
