حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هَانِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ اللَّخْمِيَّ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ فَضَالَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ يَقُولُ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرٍ بِقِلَادَةٍ فِيهَا خَرَزٌ وَذَهَبٌ وَهِيَ مِنَ الْمَغَانِمِ تُبَاعُ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالذَّهَبِ الَّذِي فِي الْقِلَادَةِ فَنُزِعَ وَحْدُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ»

✧ I heard Fadalah b. 'Ubayd say: On the day of Khaybar, a necklace containing beads and gold from the spoils of war was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to be sold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded that the gold in the necklace be removed separately. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them: "Gold for gold, weight for weight."
