حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هَانِي الْخَوْلَانِيُّ

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيِّ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ؟ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ النَّاسُ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَالْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ نَفْسَهُ فِي طَاعَةِ اللهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ الْخَطَايَا وَالذُّنُوبَ»

✧ From 'Amr b. Malik al-Janbi, from Fadalah b. 'Ubayd, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: “Shall I not tell you who the believer is? It is the one whom people trust with their wealth and their lives. The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe. The mujahid is the one who strives against his own soul in obedience to Allah. The emigrant is the one who abandons sins and transgressions.”
