حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مِقْلَاصٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالُوا ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَقُرَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَيْوَئِيلَ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الشَّرْعَنِيِّ عَنْ حَنَشِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ فِي غَزْوَةِ رُودِسَ فَصَارَتْ لِي وَلِأَصْحَابِي قِلَادَةٌ فِيهَا جَوْهَرٌ وَلُؤْلُؤٌ وَذَهَبٌ فَقَالَ لِي أَصْحَابِي اشْتَرِهَا مِنَّا نُقَارِبُكَ فَقُلْتُ لَا حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ فَضَالَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ

انْزِعِ الذَّهَبَ اجْعَلْهُ فِي كِفَّةٍ وَاجْعَلِ الذَّهَبَ فِي كِفَّةٍ أُخْرَى وَلَا تَأْخُذْ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ فَأَنَّى سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَأْخُذُ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ»

✧ Remove the gold and put it on one side of the scale and put the gold on the other side, and do not take except like for like, for I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, "Whoever believes in God and the Last Day should not take except like for like."
