حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ قَالَتْ

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْسِكَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ حُجِّي عَنْ أَبِيكِ»

✧ 'O Messenger of Allah, Allah's obligation regarding Hajj has found my father an old man who cannot hold himself steady on the camel; shall I perform Hajj on his behalf?' He said, 'Yes, perform Hajj on behalf of your father.'
