حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ ثنا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ اسْتَفْتَتْهُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَوِيَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ فَهَلْ يَقْضِي عَنْهُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ عَنْهُ؟ فَقَالَ لَهَا «نَعَمْ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: A woman of Khathʿam asked him for a ruling during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Allah's obligation regarding Hajj upon His servants has found my father an old man who cannot sit upright on the camel; can I fulfill it for him by performing Hajj on his behalf?' He said to her, 'Yes.'
