حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ وَرِدْفُهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَجَالَتْ فِيهِ النَّاقَةُ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَيْهِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ رَأْسَهُ فَلَمَّا أَفَاضَ سَارَ عَلَى هِينَتِهِ حَتَّى أَتَى جَمْعًا وَأَفَاضَ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَرِدْفُهُ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ»

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from ‘Arafāt while Usāma b. Zayd was riding behind him. The she-camel swerved with him while he was standing at ‘Arafāt before departing, and he was raising his hands, not letting them go above his head. When he departed, he traveled at his easy pace until he came to Jam‘. And he departed from ‘Arafah while al-Faḍl b. ‘Abbās was riding behind him.”
