فَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَأُمُّهُ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ وَاسْمُهَا لُبَابَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ حَزْنِ بْنِ بُجَيْرِ بْنِ الْهَرَمِ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ أَوْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتُ عَمْرِو بْنِ كَعْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمَدِينِيُّ فُسْتُقَةُ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ هَلَكَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَبْلَ أَبِيهِ بِأَرْبَعِ سِنِينَ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفُوا فِي مَوْتِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ

بَعْضُ النَّاسِ اسْتُشْهِدَ بِالشَّامِ يَوْمَ أَجْنَادِينَ وَيُقَالُ يَوْمَ مَرْجِ الصُّفْرِ وَكَانَ الْيَوْمَانِ جَمِيعًا سَنَةَ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ

Translation

✧ Some of the people were martyred in Syria on the day of Ajnadayn, and it is said on the day of Marj al-Suffar; both days were together in the year eighteen. He died when he was twenty-one years old.
