حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَسْمًا فِي نَفَرٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَتَبِعَهُ النَّاسُ فَمَرَّ بِشَجَرَةٍ فَأَخَذَتْ بِثِيَابِهِ فَقَالَ «رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ ثِيَابِي أَتَخَافُونَ عَلَيَّ فَوَاللهِ لَوْ كَانَ لِي مَالٌ لَقَسَّمْتُهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed a portion among a group of people, and the people followed him. He passed by a tree and it caught his clothes, so he said: 'Return my clothes to me. Do you fear for me? By Allah, if I had wealth, I would distribute it.'
