حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ النَّرْسِيُّ ثنا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
«سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ثَلَاثِ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَدَخَلَ الْحُجْرَةَ» فَقَامَ الْخِرْبَاقُ رَجُلٌ بَسِيطُ الْيَدَيْنِ فَقَالَ أَقَصَرْتَ الصَّلَاةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَوْ نَسِيتَ؟ فَخَرَجَ مُغْضَبًا يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ فَسَأَلَ فَأُخْبِرَ «فَصَلَّى الرَّكْعَةَ الَّتِي كَانَ تَرَكَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said salam after three rakʿahs of ʿAsr, then stood and entered the room. Al-Khirbaq, a man with long arms, stood and said: ‘Did you shorten the prayer, O Messenger of Allah, or did you forget?’ He came out angry, dragging his garment, asked about it, and was informed. Then he prayed the rakʿah he had omitted, then said salam, then prostrated the two prostrations of forgetfulness, then said salam.
