حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا يُونُسُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ فَقَالَ
إِنَّ عَبْدِي أَبَقَ وَإِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَئِنْ رَدَّهُ اللهُ لَأَقْطَعَنَّ يَدَهُ قَالَ فَلَا تَقْطَعْ يَدَهُ «فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ»

✧ "My slave has run away, and I have vowed that if God returns him, I will cut off his hand." He said: "Do not cut off his hand, for the Messenger of God ﷺ used to command charity and forbid mutilation."
