حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَمِّي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا الْمُعْتَمِرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ «أَصُمْتَ سُرَرَ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «فَإِذَا أَفْطَرْتَ فَصُمْ مَكَانَهُ يَوْمَيْنِ» فَسَأَلْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ عَمَّنْ يُحَدِّثُ هَذَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ؟ فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man, “Did you fast the middle days of this month?” He said, “No.” He said, “Then when you break your fast, fast two days in its place.” Then I asked a man from his family about who narrated this: “Abū al-ʿAlāʾ?” He said, “ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn from the Prophet ﷺ.”
