✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah commanded me to teach you what you did not know from what He taught me this day. He said: Every wealth that I have granted My servants is lawful for them. I created all My servants as hanifs, but the devils came to them and turned them away from their religion, forbade them what I had made lawful, and commanded them to associate with Me that for which I sent down no authority. Allah looked at the people of the earth and despised them, Arab and non-Arab, except for remnants of the People of the Book. Allah commanded me to raid Quraysh. I said, "My Lord, they will then smash my head until they leave it like a loaf of bread." He said, "I have only sent you to test you and to test through you. I have sent down to you a Book that water will not wash away; you will recite it in sleep and wakefulness. So raid them; Allah will honor you. Spend, and it will be spent on you. Send an army, and We will reinforce you with five times their number. Fight with those who obey you against those who disobey you. The people of Paradise are three: a just ruler, a merciful man tender-hearted toward every relative and Muslim, and a rich man who is chaste and charitable. The people of the Fire are five: the weak man without restraint, those among you who are followers not seeking family or wealth; a man who, when morning comes, would deceive you concerning your family and wealth; a man who has no desire, however small, but pursues it; the vulgar and obscene." He mentioned miserliness and lying.'
