✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When Allah gathers the first and the last, and judges between them, and finishes judging between them, the believers will say, “Our Lord has judged between us. Who will intercede for us with our Lord? Let us go to Adam, for he is our father, and Allah created him with His hand and spoke to him.” They will come to him and ask him to intercede for them, but he will say, “You should go to Nuh.” So they will come to Nuh, and he will direct them to Ibrahim. They will come to Ibrahim, and he will direct them to Musa. They will come to Musa, and he will direct them to ʿIsa. Then they will come to ʿIsa, and he will say, “I will direct you to the unlettered Prophet.” So they will come to me, and Allah will permit me to stand, and my place will send forth the most fragrant scent anyone has ever smelled, until I come to my Lord, Blessed and Exalted. He will grant me intercession and place for me a light from the hair of my head to the nail of my foot. Then the disbelievers will say, “The believers have found someone to intercede for them, so who will intercede for us?” They will say, “No one but Iblis; he is the one who led us astray.” So they will come to him and say, “The believers have found someone to intercede for them, so you stand and intercede for us, for you are the one who led us astray.” He will stand, and his place will send forth the foulest stench anyone has ever smelled. Then he will drive them into Hell, and at that point he will say: {And Satan will say when the matter is decided: “Indeed, Allah promised you a true promise, and I promised you, but I broke it.”}
