حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ دُخَيْنٍ الْحَجْرِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ
أَنَّ عَشَرَةً أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُبَايِعُونَ فَبَايَعَ تِسْعَةً وَأَمْسَكَ عَنْ وَاحِدٍ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بَايَعْتَ تِسْعَةً وَأَمْسَكْتَ عَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا عَلَيْهِ تَمِيمَةٌ» فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فَقَطَعَهَا فَبَايَعَهُ

✧ Ten men came to the Prophet ﷺ to pledge allegiance. He accepted the pledge of nine and withheld from one. They said, “O Messenger of Allah, you accepted the pledge of nine and withheld from this one?” He said, “This one has an amulet on him.” So he put his hand in and cut it off, then he pledged allegiance to him.
