حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ ثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَا سَمِعْنَا يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ تَعَلَّقْتُ بِقَدَمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْرِئْنِي سُورَةَ هُودٍ وَسُورَةَ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا عُقْبَةُ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِسُورَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللهِ وَلَا أَبْلَغَ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ»

✧ He heard ʿUqbah b. ʿAmir say: "I clung to the foot of the Messenger of Allah and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'O ʿUqbah, you will never recite a surah more beloved to Allah nor more efficacious than "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak."'"
