حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ

هُشَيْمٌ وَلَا أَظُنُّنِي إِلَّا قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لِأُكَلِّمَهُ فِي أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ فَوَافَقْتُهُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ الْمَغْرِبَ أَوِ الْعِشَاءَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَوْ يَقْرَأُ وَقَدْ خَرَجَ صَوْتُهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ {إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ} فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعُ قَلْبِي

✧ "Hushaim, and I think I have only heard it from Al-Zuhri, from Muhammad ibn Jubair ibn Mut'im, from his father Jubair ibn Mut'im, who said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ to speak to him about the prisoners of Badr. I met him while he was praying Maghrib or Isha with his companions. I heard him say or recite, and his voice came from the mosque, 'Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur. There is none who can avert it.' It was as if my heart was torn apart."
