حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يُحَدِّثُ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِذَا تَطَهَّرَ الْعَبْدُ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ يَرْعَى الصَّلَاةَ كُتِبَ لَهُ كِتَابٌ بِكُلِّ خَطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ وَالْقَاعِدُ فِيهِ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ كَالْقَانِتِ وَيُكْتَبُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينِ مِنْ حِينَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهِ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: 'When a servant performs ablution and then comes to the mosque to observe the prayer, for every step he takes to the mosque ten good deeds are recorded for him. The one sitting in it awaiting the prayer is like the one in constant devotion, and he is recorded among those who pray from the time he leaves his house until he returns to it.'
