حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثَنَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَمْنَعُ أَهْلَهُ الْحِلْيَةَ وَالْحَرِيرَ وَيَقُولُ «إنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ حِلْيَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَحَرِيرَهَا فَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا»

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid his family from ornaments and silk, and he would say: “If you love the ornaments of Paradise and its silk, then do not touch them in this world.”
