حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ مَا أَخَافُ أَوْ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي اللَّبَنُ وَالْكِتَابُ» فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا بَالُ اللَّبَنِ؟ قَالَ «يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْجَمَاعَاتِ وَيَتْرُكُونَ الْجُمُعَاتِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا بَالُ الْكِتَابِ؟ قَالَ «يُفْتَحُ لِأَقْوَامٍ فَيَقْرَءُونَهُ فَيُجَادِلُونَ بِهِ»

✧ I heard Uqbah bin Amir say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the thing that I fear the most for my Ummah is milk and the Book." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with milk?" He said, "They leave gatherings and abandon congregations." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with the Book?" He said, "It will be opened for certain people, and they will recite it and engage in argumentation with it."
