حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَا ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يَقُولُ «ثَلَاثُ سَاعَاتٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَانَا أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِيهِنَّ أَوْ نَقْبُرَ فِيهِنَّ مَوْتَانَا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ بَازِغَةً حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ وَحِينَ يَقُومُ قَائِمُ الظَّهِيرَةِ حَتَّى تَمِيلَ الشَّمْسُ وَحِينَ تَضَيَّفُ الشَّمْسُ لِلْغُرُوبِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ»

✧ I heard ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir al-Juhanī say: “Three times the Messenger of God ﷺ used to forbid us to pray in them, or to bury our dead in them: when the sun rises appearing until it is high, when the midday heat stands until the sun declines, and when the sun turns to setting until it sets.”
