حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا ثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُمِّي تُوُفِّيَتْ وَتَرَكَتْ حُلِيًّا وَلَمْ تُوصِ فَهَلْ يَنْفَعُهَا إِنْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا؟ فَقَالَ «احْبِسْ عَلَيْكَ مَالَكَ»

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “My mother has died and left behind jewelry, and she did not make a will. Will it benefit her if I give it in charity on her behalf?” He said: “Keep your wealth for yourself.”
