حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي فَرُّوجِ حَرِيرٍ ثُمَّ نَزَعَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّيْتَ فِيهِ ثُمَّ نَزَعْتَهُ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ مِنْ لِبَاسِ الْمُتَّقِينَ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed in a silk garment, then took it off. I said: “O Messenger of God, you prayed in it and then took it off?” He said: “This is not the clothing of the pious.”
