حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ خِرِّيتِ عَنْ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَى جلبا فَأَعْطَاهُ دِينَارًا فَقَالَ «اشْتَرِ لَنَا شَاةً» فَانْطَلَقَ فَاشْتَرَى شَاتَيْنِ بِدِينَارٍ فَلَقِيَهُ رَجُلٌ فَبَاعَهُ شَاةً بِدِينَارٍ ثُمَّ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِدِينَارٍ وَشَاةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ فِي صَفْقَةِ يَمِينِكَ» قَالَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَقُومُ فِي الْكُنَاسَةِ فَمَا أرْجِعُ إِلَى أَهْلِي حَتَّى أَرْبَحَ أَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفًا

✧ The Prophet ﷺ came to a market and gave him a dinar, then said: “Buy a sheep for us.” So he went and bought two sheep for a dinar. Then a man met him and he sold him one sheep for a dinar. Then he came to the Prophet ﷺ with a dinar and a sheep. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: “May Allah bless you in the transaction of your right hand.” He said: “I would stand in the marketplace and not return to my family until I had profited forty thousand.”
